Out with the old and in with the new....

So in case you did not know, I recently sold the green chopper and purchased a new Harley. I figured I am finally old enough to enjoy a bike that has an "old man" feel to it. To give you an idea of how drastic the change was I went from a bike that only had a few electrical features to a bike that has a security system, CD player, fuel injection, auxiliary port for the iPod, navigation system, and so much more..... It is like riding on a Cadillac compared to the chopper.

When I purchased the bike it was a dark gray (almost black) metallic color. I decided to paint it when I went to the Harley shop one day and there were 4 other bikes just like mine parked right next to it. I went home that day and started to tear it down. It took me roughly 2 weeks to paint this bike from start to finish, only working on it after work and on the weekends. It was a lot of steps and a lot of work but it turned out to be worth it. Now I don't have a bike that looks like every other bike out there...I couldn't handle that...LOL.

Here is the bike right after I bought it.

From here down are a lot of photos of individual components and even a few of the full bike. The green color is the same color as my chopper was and the black is a nice black with a subtle metallic flake in it. The pinstripe was done by a friend of mine names Rody who is one of the best not only in the city of Denver but in the country.

Here is my little future Harley rider...he helped us paint the bike too.

Jacob's 1st Birthday Party

Can you believe that it has been a year since Baby Jacob was born?!!!! When you are a child you hear your parents say "I can't believe how fast time flies" and it sounds so cliche, but the older we get the more we realize the truth that statement holds. It seems like just a few days ago that I was standing in a body shop working on an estimate and Kristi called me to go to the hospital...now he is 1 year old! AND AMAIYA IS 10!!!! No wonder I have so much gray hair...
Jacob got his own little cake to eat and destroy. He is just checking in with Mommy to make sure that it is OK to dig into it.

Amaiya wants a bite, but she will not get one...

Now we have just created a monster.

The kids now-a-days grow up so fast...Jacob already has a beard.

Time for presents. Jacob got a cell phone, lots of clothes, a lap top, and a few other neat toys.

What a cute couple!

What a cute family!!!

And of course Ryan and Faith were there....they are always there...wherever there is...

Spring Training 2011

This year we decided to go down to Phoenix to enjoy the Colorado Rockies Spring Training. It gave us a chance to see some pre-season baseball, see Jill and Marc's house and to spend some time with family. Mom and Dad made the trip down to see us and spend the weekend, we were grateful for that. We were there from Friday to Monday and go to see 4 baseball games. For Kristi and I it was something that we have never done but have always wanted to do. It was an absolute BLAST!!! Ryan and Faith were there too.

Jacob loved spending time with all of the family members.

Dinger (the Rockies mascot) fell in love with my wife.

I this photo you can see the 2 captains of the Rockies, Todd Helton on 1st base and Troy Tulowitzki at Short Stop.

Jacob finally found some shade to take a nap. It was between 85-90 degrees every day that we were there.

Jacob loves his Grandma.

He loves his Grandma and his Grandpa.

This is a photo of the cutest couple in the whole world!

Brother and Sister

Here is Amaiya's first Christmas picture with a sibling. They are so cute together. Honk, honk! Move out of my way!
This is when we took Amaiya and Jacob to Jump Street. Jacob likes the car!

Jacob is trying to figure out how to get to the center of the present. Amaiya, being a good sister, is being patient and helping to teach him how to open presents.

This sticker was from Valentines day. Amaiya put it on Jacob's forehead. The sticker said "My Pal". I guess that was why she kept on saying, "We are pals!"

All work and no play....

Work, work, work... fart! Oops!
Work, work, work...eat!
Work, work, work...poop! Change me please! Don't bug me I am puchasing stocks in Huggies!
Hmm, maybe I will buy this truck... I wonder if I can reach Daddy's Credit Card?

Oops! Forgot to log in... again!

Our little Minion

Jacob and Amaiya love the movie Despicable Me. These glasses came with the DVD set. As you can tell Jacob is thrilled to be wearing them.

Daddy is a minion himself. I guess you should call him our "Daddy Minion".
