The Mother and her new Baby
The Newest Terry Family Member
So after much adieu....here is the newest member of the Terry Family. Jacob Mical Terry was born April 7, 2010 at 1:03 am. He was 6 lbs 12 oz and was 19 3/4 inches long. He and Kristi are both very healthy and very happy.
Here is how it all happened.... Kristi was having contractions on Monday evening/night. We timed those contractions at about 5 min apart at their closest and they subsided as the night went on. We decided that we would go to sleep on Monday night rather than call the doctor since the contractions had started to subside. I told Kristi to call the doctor on Tuesday morning if the contractions were still happening with any regularity; they were so she called the doctor and he asked her to come in and let them check her progress. Once in they found that she had dilated to almost a 4 and that she was having some problems with her blood pressure. In order to not have any problems they asked to keep her and induce labor by breaking her water. We agreed that this was the safest course of action and gave our consent.
The doctor broke her bag of waters at about 1:00 pm in the afternoon on April 6th. Kristi received medication to help with the pain at about 4:00 pm. Finally by about 11:00 pm she was dilated to a 10 and ready to start pushing. She began pushing at 11:00 pm and baby Jacob finally pushed through at 1:03 am on April 7th.
Kristi did such a great job with the birth and really bore down when she needed that extra something. Jacob is very lucky to have such an amazing mother! Kristi has since started her recovery and is starting to move around more and more as the day goes on. Keep her in your prayers. I know that she will recover quickly.
We are so thankful for the successful delivery and for the Lord keeping His hand over us during this process. Jacob is a blessing that we can not even fathom yet. I can tell by looking at him that he is a special spirit and he will teach us many things. There are so many things that can potentially go wrong in these situations and it is always such a miracle when it all happens the way it should. We are thankful for a healthy baby boy! Welcome to our family Jacob! We love you so much already!

Amaiya's 9th Birthday
Amaiya just had her 9th birthday....can you believe she is already 9!!!!!!! Am I really that old? How is it that I can have a 9 year old daughter???? There are days when I still feel like I am 9.....lol.
Amaiya and I made a deal....I agreed that it was OK if she had a 9th birthday as long as she does not have any more birthdays. She will be 9 forever. :-)
Amaiya got a new bike from her mommy for her birthday and a LIV doll from her daddy. For those of you who do not know what a LIV doll is (because we all know that I didn't know what one was before I went looking for one) it is a Barbie type doll, but they do not have the ridiculous proportions of a Barbie. You can buy different clothes and wigs for the doll. Amaiya and her friends all have them and play with them together.
Amaiya chose to have a Sponge Bob cake for her birthday. Sponge Bob square pants, Sponge Bob square pants, Sponge Bob square pants....Doddle e do te do do! Hahahaha!!!! We love to watch Sponge Bob together! I am convinced that is one of the best things about being a parent; I get to watch cartoons with my daughter and nobody can say anything about it. In fact, to most people it is not only considered acceptable but it is "cute". How great is that!!!!
Until next time.....

Who are those Crazy Terry's?
1. Curtis is the Daddy and main man of the house. He works for Farmers Insurance as a field appraiser, sings in a barbershop quartet, and spends as much time as possible with the family.
2. Kristi is the mommy/step mommy and FJ driving maniac. She works in the accounting department of the Steele Foundation as Mrs. Moneybags; she pays all the bills and takes the names. On the weekends you will find her riding her Pearl White Harley with Pink flames.
3. Amaiya is the 8 (almost 9) year old sweetheart of the family. She is currently in 3rd grade and is the smartest kid in her whole school. She plays the guitar, swims, does gymnastics, and loves to ride on her daddy's motorcycle.
4. Lucy is a dog....and that is the truth. She is our beautiful Boxer dog. She spends her time playing with a tennis ball, dreaming of food, and making us pick up all of her crap.
We are expecting another addition to our family this coming April. It is a boy! We are all excited and will surely keep you all posted as the pregnancy progresses.
Stay Tuned....
